If you’re like many people, you probably use Chrome’s battery saver feature to conserve your battery life. But is it really necessary to turn it on all the time?

The short answer is no. In fact, turning on the battery saver feature can actually have a negative impact on your battery life. The reason is that Chrome uses your computer’s power to keep track of closed tabs and their state (opened, closed, or in the process of being closed).

When the battery saver feature is turned on, Chrome continuously checks for changes to these tabs and updates its database accordingly. This can use up a lot of your computer’s power if you have a lot of open tabs.

So what should you do if you want to conserve your battery life but don’t want to disable the battery saver feature? Here are two tips:

1. Close down as many open tabs as possible. This will reduce the number of times Chrome has to check for updates and therefore save power.

2. Use the “power saving” mode option in Chrome’s settings menu to disable some of the features that consume energy (for example, background tabs).

If you’ve ever gone to Chrome and accidentally closed a tab, there’s a good chance you didn’t want to lose that page’s data. Thankfully, there’s a simple solution.

First, open Chrome and click on the three lines in the upper-left corner of the browser window.

Next, click on “History.”

Finally, click on “Tabs.”

Now you’ll see a list of all the tabs that are open in Chrome. Locate the tab that you want to restore and click on it. (note: if the tab is password-protected, you will need to enter your password first.)

Chrome will now show you a list of all the content that was on that tab when it was closed. If you want to keep everything on the restored tab, just select “Keep All Content” from the dropdown menu. (Alternatively, you can choose specific pages or files by selecting them from the “Keep This Selection” dropdown.)
